As part of a larger interview surrounding the game’s development, Akaoni founder Jose Manuel revealed to us that Zombie Panic in Wonderland was what originally inspired Marvelous Entertainment to establish their World Game Parade label, under which they publish overseas WiiWare games in Japan.

“At a video games conference organized by Nintendo, we were presenting a demo of Zombie Panic in Wonderland,” he explained. “Yoshiro Kimura of Marvelous Entertainment also was there showing Little King’s Story. Kimura was surprised to see a game which looked so Japanese and the long line of people to play it. That night, at the dinner, Kimura told me that he would like to try to publish the game in Japan.”

That same week, Akaoni and Marvelous reached an agreement and signed a contract. Following this, the World Game Parade label was set up by MMV’s Loius Lamarre, who quickly signed on other games like Bit Boy!! and Max and the Magic Marker.

Please look forward to the full interview on Siliconera tomorrow, in time for the Friday release of Zombie Panic in Wonderland on the European Wii Shop Channel.
