Activision has officially revealed Call of Duty: WWII, the next installment in the series. Sledgehammer Games has been working for two years on an installment set during World War II.

In the Call of Duty: WWII single player campaign, people will be following the 1st Infantry Division.  More specifically, the game will center around Ronald “Red” Daniels, a 19-year-old new recruit as the campaign takes him and his troop around Europe. Joining him are his best friend, Robert Zussman, and Sergeant Pearson, who is voiced by Josh Duhamel. They’ll participate in the D-Day battle, as well as some others in France and Belgium. The two campaign missions revealed include Hurtgen Forest, set in a forest on the German border, and Normandy, which has people storming Omaha Beach.

Three Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer features were revealed. A War mode will put players on Allies and Axis teams for narrative-driven battles. Headquarters will be a social space for people to interact. There will also be a new Create-a-Class feature called Divisions, where you join one division and advance through its ranks.

Call of Duty: WWII will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3, 2017. People who pre-order will get access to the private multiplayer beta. The full reveal will happen at E3 2017.
