Sonic is a much better behaved infant than Mario ever was in Yoshi in Sonic 2, a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that lets players act as the green dinosaur instead.
In Yoshi in Sonic 2, Yoshi carries over all of his abilities from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, being able to ground pound, devour enemies, throw eggs, chase around young, upset video game heroes, and touch fuzzies to get dizzy. These abilities make for a very different game, but all seem to work well in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Players will also note that Tails and Sonic are much quieter as babies, making no noise should Yoshi get hit and have them fall off his back.
Yoshi in Sonic 2 was first developed for a Sonic hacking contest in 2010 by a developer known as Xenowhirl, and has only recently surfaced online.
