Macbat 64 is a 3D platforming throwback to games like Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie, but it doesn’t solely focus on hopping around and collecting things. It will also feature other gameplay styles and minigames to ensure a variety of fun.

When players aren’t busy guiding their bat through different micro worlds collecting balloons and talking to silly NPCs, they’ll be able to do a bit of kart racing against other characters in the game. Should players feel a little more like shooting someone, the game will also feature some low-poly first-person shooter segments.

Macbat 64 doesn’t soley focus on N64-era visuals, either, as it offers a handful of 8-bit minigames for players to toy around with. They can also explore some 2.5D sections to get away from platforming in 3D, offering many different kinds of gameplay and styles for players to enjoy.

Players looking to try out some of these side games or experience Macbat 64’s sense of humor and homage to 3D platforming can do so now, as the game has released on Steam.
