Police officer Max finds himself in a strange situation when a trap switches his gender, but he still needs to solve crimes and carry on with his life in visual novel/life sim Max’s Big Bust – A Captain Nekorai Tale.
Players will guide Max through police work, collecting evidence on various crimes and interrogating suspects and witnesses. Players will then have to use that evidence to solve the cases they’re working on, steadily working their way through the mystery of the new drug.
Max will not solely focus on police work, as he’ll also have time to talk with colleagues and friends, steadily growing closer to them over the course of several different chapters. Five different love interests are available for players to pursue among the game’s 30+ characters, offering players several romance options. When not focusing on dating or crime, players can also work on raising a virtual pet.
Max’s Big Bust features fully-animated cutscenes for many of its story moments, which players can experience in full as the game has just released its final chapter update on Steam.
