A new, multi-year and multi-game partnership has been announced by Square Enix and Marvel. The two companies will be working together to create video games based on Marvel comic series. The first game will be a project based on The Avengers. Eidos Montreal, known for games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Crystal Dynamics, which most recently released Rise of the Tomb Raider, are working on the title.

A teaser trailer has been released for Square Enix and Marvel’s The Avengers project. The game will feature an original storyline starring characters from the superhero team. The voice over here, which may have been supplied by Black Widow, suggests this could be an origin story of sorts, involving the reassembling of the team.

The Avengers game and other Square Enix and Marvel projects will be revealed in 2018.
