Wa-Ga, a free RPG inspired by Final Fantasy Legend, tasks players with levelling their party in different ways depending on the races of the characters in them.
Wa-Ga offers two different races – humans and espers. Espers will evolve naturally in combat, with their stats growing as they fight. They can also gain new abilities with each win, although these abilities will swap out an old one at random. Powers put in a character’s fourth power slot are saved from this potential change, as they cannot be altered, but players may still find themselves randomly losing a good ability.
Humans do not grow through combat, and can only get stronger with items and equipment. Players can save up money to get them better items, but will have to balance their expensive needs with the more unpredictable powers of espers.
Players can explore and fight around town or in the nearby cave, fighting various monsters that lurk nearby for new stats and money. Should they not like the party they have, they can always change their members at the Guild in town.
Wa-Ga has no plot beyond killing creatures and getting stronger, but does offer a lighthearted RPG experience with some strange NPCs to talk to.
