Nintendo has now partnered with HackerOne in an attempt to find and put an end to security vulnerabilities for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Over on HackerOne’s official site, they list piracy, cheating, and dissemination of inappropriate content to children as their main focus of prevention.

The following message was recently posted by HackerOne:

“Nintendo is dedicated to providing video game fans worldwide premium entertainment in a welcoming and secure environment. To that end, Nintendo invites highly skilled researchers to find and address vulnerabilities on the Nintendo 3DS handheld system that could jeopardize that environment. Nintendo is committed to creating a better game-play experience for all through those actions.”

To help them in this endeavor, Nintendo has offered the incentive of rewarding up to $20,000 to anyone who can find and address any such vulnerabilities, such as low-cost cloning, security key detection, and more.
