In sidescrolling horror game The Long Reach, the main puzzles are the unhinged humans who will stalk you through the halls, killing you unless you can understand why they’ve lost their minds.
For players to figure these dangerous people out, they’ll need to solve item puzzles and find clues in the environment to tell them what caused these people to turn murderous. As they discover more about each of these killers, they’ll be able to use that information to find a means of escaping them.
Until they’ve figured everything out, they’ll have to stay hidden and in the dark, lest they get caught and torn apart. If they do get seen, they’ll need to run from these people, as there are no means to fight back.
An older demo for the game is available on GameJolt. The Long Reach, which is due to release in early 2017, is seeking votes on Steam Greenlight.
