During this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Destructoid was able to catch up with Goichi Suda, also known as Suda51, and ask the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture his plans for the future. While a lot of the spotlight of the discussion was on the remaster and localization of The Silver Case for PC, the subject of a possible new installment of the No More Heroes series was also brought up.
Suda51 had previously mentioned thinking that No More Heroes 3 wouldn’t come for another 15 or 20 years though, when asked this time, he amended that statement, saying “It’s not going to be 20 years, I’m hoping it’ll be 10 years or maybe earlier than that.”
Additionally, he went on to say that, if a sequel eventually did get made, it “might be like an indie game,” noting that “No More Heroes fans’ voices are still strong, but young gamers have never heard of it, so I want to create something for them as well.”
As mentioned in a previous article, the 20th anniversary of Grasshopper Manufacture will be in 2018, and Suda51 had stated that he wished to do something to celebrate that milestone.
