BlazBlue series creator and producer Toshimichi Mori said in an interview in this weekā€™s issue of Famitsu magazine that there wonā€™t be an ā€œExtendā€ version for Central Fiction. He also revealed that his next game wonā€™t be related to BlazBlue, and that itā€™s not a fighter. [Thanks, Hachima.]

  • In BlazBlue: Central Fiction, the storyā€™s conclusion is met, so Mori hopes you guys get to play it until the very end.

  • He feels that of all fighting games, none has ever met an ending as well-done as Central Fictionā€™s.

  • When asked about his most memorable title, Mori said Chronophantasma, as it was the turning point of the series.

  • When asked about a sequel, Mori said that itā€™s something youā€™ll understand after playing story mode. And that Es, Naoto, Hazama, and Relius talk about significant thingsā€¦

  • Heā€™d like to eventually do balance adjustments on it, and new characters if thereā€™s enough demand for it.

  • There wonā€™t be an ā€œExtendā€ (complete version) this time around. They aim to make Central Fiction into something that can be played for a long time to come.

  • When asked about his next title, Mori said that it wonā€™t be related to BlazBlue in any way, and that he is ambitious to work on this completely new title that also isnā€™t a fighting game.

  • If he were to work on another fighting game in the future, Mori said that heā€™d like to make something that is different from common fighting games practice, once again.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction releases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on October 6, North America on November 1, and Europe on November 4, 2016.
