Sixaxis controlled skiing in Go! Sports Ski

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

While most third party developers are ignoring SIXAXIS tilt control, Yukes (yeah the team behind the WWE games) is staking a stab at it. Their motion controlled game is unusual because they picked skiing, instead of something catered to the X-Treme audience Sony has been marketing PS3s too. In Go! Sports Ski you tilt your controller forward to increase your speed, left to turn left and right to… well you get the idea. If you jostle the controller upwards you can make your skier jump. The control in the E3 demo felt passive. You hold your controller steady, pointing towards the floor until you need to turn. There is some kind of trick system in Go! Sports Ski where you can do helicopters, but I couldn’t figure out how to get enough air to land a trick. I’m mentioning this because 1.) it might be worth $5 or $10 bucks and 2.) the Playstation Network is still the primary source for downloadable games. Also the European title sounds cooler, Feel Ski versus Go! Sports Ski. I know Sony is trying to use brand casual games with the "Go!" prefix, but it neglects to tell people what's special about the game.
