Taiker is a sidescrolling action game that focuses on continuous combos, giving players the opportunity to link up several moves that will create an endless onslaught that will carry them from enemy to enemy.
Taiker’s main character, Peggy, can use regular or ‘skill’ attacks with the press of a button, with those attacks changing depending on where she is in a combo and whether she is on the ground or airborne. She can also lock onto an enemy to make more moves available.
Peggy learns more attacks over the course of the game through its Trait System, a skill tree that will let players choose their own combat moves. As Peggy defeats bosses, they will be unlocked as playable characters, but it is unclear if they have their own movesets at this time.
A demo for Taiker’s 2D action is available on the game’s Steam Greenlight page. An IndieGoGo campaign is planned to help fund the game’s development in the following weeks.
