Sekai Project has put developer Lupiesoft’s sci-fi visual novel The Stargazers up on Steam Greenlight. It’s inspired by 50s and 80s pulp fiction and mecha anime.

It lets you choose one of three girls to get their perspective on the story’s events: Tem, Risty, or Vii. It’s possible to switch perspectives at various points through the story if you wish, too.

It’s a yuri visual novel so it explores the relationship of these three girls as they spend time together as the Stargazers Squadron.

All in all, The Stargazers is about as long as Lupiesoft’s previous visual novel, The Reject Demon: Tokoso, somewhere under the two hour mark. However, as with The Reject Demon, Lupiesoft is hoping to expand on the story of The Stargazers in the future.

Here’s the story summary for The Stargazers:

“The 1042nd Stargazers Squadron of the A.D.F.S (Allied Defence Force Signals)

Stargazers Squadron. A group of 3 pilots stationed in deep space on the outer rim of one of the arms of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Signals are always first on the scene! It’s the role of the Signals to be the spearhead into every new operation, laying the groundwork for future missions.”
