Minecraft’s PlayStation Versions Get Their Biggest Update Yet

The PlayStation versions of Minecraft recently got their biggest update yet as detailed in the video above (note: the PlayStation Vita version will be getting it soon).

 

Speaking generally, included in this update are new potions, blocks, mobs, and biomes, as well as a completely new tutorial that introduces all this new content.

 

Being more specific, the biomes include Mega-Taiga where you’ll find huge Redwood forests and Deep Ocean that allows Ocean Monuments to spawn Elder Guardians to test you in advance of treasure chests and rare materials.

 

The new blocks include Granite, Red Sandstone, Sea Lanterns, Slime, and Packed Ice. You’ll also find Blue Orchids, Sunflowers, Azure Bluets, Tulips, and Lilacs.

There’s also an exclusive PlayStation Birthday Pack that celebrates two years of the game being available on PlayStation. You can download it and get the following items:
