Starting from the beginning of the anime in Naruto: Rise of a Ninja

narutoron.jpgUbisoft revealed a few new tidbits about Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and it is going to have a partial RPG mode that takes players back to the start of the series. While walking around the Village Hidden in the Leaves you can develop Naruto by increasing his chakra and learning new jutsus. In the village Naruto can accept missions and completing them earns acceptance points plus money.

Missions will incorporate platforming elements where Naruto has to run on water and use the replacement jutsu to dodge attacks. Some of that stuff we’ve seen before in Namco Bandai’s Uzumaki Chronicles series. What is unique about Ubisoft’s game is Naruto: Rise of the Ninja has stealth elements where you need to disguise Naruto with the transformation jutsu. On top of missions Naruto: Rise of the Ninja will have a co-op mode where you can challenge a friend with other characters from the series. Ubisoft did not mention what other characters will be playable, but since there will be online fighting Rise of a Ninja should have a decent selection of characters.
