Dim Bulb Games has revealed its debut game called Where The Water Tastes Like Wine. It’s described as “a bleak American folk tale about traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny.”
It has you travelling across the United States on a 3D overworld map but zooms in on certain situations with 2D scenes illustrated by Kellan Jett. In this way, you’ll experience a century of history by meeting a variety of people and hearing the stories they have to tell.
As you’ll see in trailer and the game’s art work, it combines a layer of reality and folk stories with the fantastical, psychedelic, surreal, and sometimes the creepy too.
Dim Bulb Games was founded by Johnnemann Nordhagen who previously worked at Sony Computer Entertainment, 2K Marin, and The Fullbright Company where he was the sole programmer on Gone Home.
