Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked Sets Sail For Tropical Survival On Steam Early Access

Klei Entertainment has released the single player “Shipwrecked” expansion to its roguelike survival game Don’t Starve on Steam Early Access. You require the full game to be able to play this expansion.

Shipwrecked is a collaborative project that Klei worked on with Below developer Capybara Games. It sees main character Wilson getting stranded on a tropical archipelago where there are new biomes, seasons, and creatures to discover.

One of the most intriguing aspects of Shipwrecked is that you can actually craft a boat and start exploring the ocean. You won’t want to hang out in open water for too long, as if the range of vicious fish don’t get you, the starvation surely will. Anyway, you’re only really supposed to be sailing between the various islands in your boat.

Currently, Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked is only available for Windows but Mac and Linux versions are being worked on and should therefore arrive shortly. Also to come in the future is integration with the base game.
