Famitsu’s Nekki Costume Now Available In Super Mario Maker

Thanks to the Event Courses in Super Mario Maker, costumes that initially seemed as though they would be Japan exclusives are being released worldwide. The first was the GameCenter CX Shinya Arino, followed by Super Mario-Kun. Now, the costume of Famitsu’s mascot has been released worldwide.

People can earn the Nekki costume by completing the “Yoshi is Awesome!” Event Course immediately available in Course World. The level, made by Vanilla KONDO, was the winning entry in a Famitsu Super Mario Maker contest.

Nekki the Fox is Famitsu’s mascot. Created by Susumu Matsushita, Nekki often dresses as iconic game characters in notable issues of the magazine. This makes the Costume Mario outfit a little ironic, since Mario is dressing up as him for a change.

Nintendo hasn’t said how long the Event Course will be available, so it would be wise to play through it as soon as possible.
