Indie studio PolyKid has released an early version of its 3D platformer Poi for Windows on Steam Early Access.

It’s available at $14.99 in this early state (with a launch discount bringing it down to $10) but that price will rise as the game nears its finished release.

Poi is all about exploring large sky islands in order to collect explorer medallions. To get them you’ll need to run, jump, flip, bounce, balance, climb, slide, and swim. You’re also able to pull off more advanced moves such as wall jumps, triple jumps, and rolling long jumps.

Additionally, you’ll equip explorer tools and earn XP in order to unlock more worlds to explore. If you hadn’t guessed, Poi is a throwback to 3D platformers of the ‘90s, specifically Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, and Super Mario Sunshine.
