Yesterday, the Muv Luv Kickstarter passed the $500,000 mark, meaning the Vita and Android ports stretch goal has been funded. Today, the Muv Luv Team issued an update to remind people the $600,000 stretch goal is the Muv Luv Codex, with content from Lunatic Dawn and Integral Works, but also made an important announcement regarding the Windows PC physical copies of the Muv Luv trilogy.

The Muv Luv team confirmed backers had contacted them about the DRM antipiracy measures that would be included on physical copies. The team then looked at it and, since it didn’t add anything, has decided to remove it. So all physical copies of Muv Luv will have no DRM as a result. However, digital copies of the game will still include DRM. Though, in most people’s cases, this will mean needing to use Steam to run the games, since they have been greenlit.

To qualify for physical copies of Muv Luv Extra and Alternative, a contribution of at least $80 must be made to the Kickstarter. The crowdfunding endeavor will end on November 3.
