Chucklefish has announced that its galaxy-sized sandbox action game Starbound will be heading to Xbox One this winter through the console’s Game Preview progam (it’s for work-in-progress titles so it’s similar to Steam Early Access).
“Starbound has benefited massively from the community’s feedback since we launched on Steam Early Access, with so many of you helping our little team squash bugs and create an overall better sandbox game,” writes Starbound’s community manager. “We believe Game Preview provides the best opportunity for us to make Starbound an amazing experience for console gamers as well.”
It was also noted that an additional team is working on the console version of Starbound so as to not distract from the PC version. The 1.0 version, once it’s reached, will still be out on PC first with it being rolled out on consoles afterward.
