Tearaway was a solo experience on the Vita, but Sony’s iOS and Android PlayStation App will allow more people to play in Tearaway Unfolded. A newly released trailer shared on the PlayStation Blog shows exactly how the second screen works, should someone wish to use their tablet or Vita to play along with a friend.
All of the Tearaway Unfolded Companion App features are aesthetically inclined. While the primary player controls Iota or Atoi, the secondary user can cut out shapes to send billowing like snowflakes through the sky or take pictures of surroundings to import as textures for the game’s environment. The person using a tablet or Vita can also assist with creating content for challenges or messenger customization. The secondary device can be used to take pictures or put together more detailed papercraft pieces for tasks like decorating a pig or making a Iota or Atoi appear more unique.
The Tearaway Unfolded Companion App will also make sharing easier. There is a world button that takes people to a collective of images showing what they’ve done to their messengers and worlds in the game.
Tearaway Unfolded is coming to the PS4 on September 8, 2015. It will be $39.99.
