Anime-Inspired Shooter Galak-Z Headed To PS4 On August 4th, PS Vita Version Cancelled

Creator of Skulls of the Shogun 17-BIT has announced that its cel-shaded roguelike shooter Galak-Z will be out on PlayStation 4 and PC on August 4th.

But it’s not all good news as the studio has also revealed that it’s had to cancel the previously announced PlayStation Vita version of the game. Writing on Twitter, 17-BIT said, “Vita faithful: heart-breaking technical limitations force us to put #galakz Vita on ice. Can’t compromise beautiful & responsive gameplay.”

When the studio was questioned on the reason for announcing Galak-Z for PS Vita if it wasn’t confirmed, it replied: “We thought the conversion would be straightforward but the ram limitations are just too great without entirely reworking the game.”

So that’s that, then. You’ll be able to pick Galak-Z up for the full-price of $19.99 on August 4th. If you’re a PS Plus member you can get it for the discounted price of $14.99.
