Scott Cawthon has announced that Five Nights At Freddy’s 4’s release date has been moved forward. Originally, he said that it would be out on Halloween 2015, but now that has been changed to August 8th.

Cawthon revealed this to Reddit user “dawkosgames” in an email that read: “I’m going to released Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 on August 8th for the 1-year anniversary of Five Nights At Freddy’s. To keep the Halloween date special however, I’ll be working on a free update with extra content to release October 31st. I also plan on having a trailer ready for next weekend!”

While this email and image could be construed to be fake, Cawthon did upload a new teaser image that he’s titled “8815” on the Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 IndieDB page – the “8815” meaning August 8th 2015. The image is also visible on Cawthon’s website.
