Avalanche Studios, best known for its Just Cause series, has released its first smartphone game and it doesn’t have an open world or massive destruction to cause.
It’s called Rumble City and is described as “biker chess” by Avalanche. It has you controlling a biker gang in the 1960s in an attempt to take over the city of Los Poderosos from The Jesters.
You do this by winning turn-based battles across bars, warehouses, and back alleys. Each of your gang members can be customized and cared for before entering a fight, giving you a chance to equip them with knives or bottles, or any other weapon you might have, otherwise they go in with their fists.
Rumble City is available to download for free on Android through Google Play and the Amazon App Store right now. The iOS version is due out on July 9th and will also be free and ad-supported. You can find out more about the game on its website.
