Gaijinworks are trying to drum up interest in a physical release of Summon Night 5, which is being localized for release in North America. This, as previously reported, will be done in the form of a limited edition physical release—provided there’s sufficient interest in such a release.
Interest is being gauged in the form of a sign-up campaign, by which you have to sign up at www.gaijinworks.com. Should there be enough interest (6,000 pledges), Gaijinworks will manufacture PSP UMDs, and include a bunch of other bonus items as part of the package. Here’s what they say is included:
Current plans call for each physical copy to include contents that have all but disappeared from video game packaging in 2015, including a full-color manual, a multi-sided case insert, a full-color UMD label, one of two giant 19″ x 14″ posters and a serial numbered hologram on the back of the game box. Those who purchase a physical copy will also be given a code to download the full Summon Night 5 game via the PlayStation Network (a necessary option for play on the PS Vita, which has no UMD drive).
Summon Night 5 is currently scheduled for release sometime this Fall.
