Final Fantasy X Writer’s Next Game Will Also Be Heading To PlayStation 4

We already knew that French developer Kobojo teamed up with Final Fantasy X writer Kazushige Nojima and Valkyria Chronicles composer Hitoshi Sakimoto on an online an RPG called Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey. And we already knew that it would be heading to iOS, Android, and PlayStation Vita.

But now it has been revealed that Zodiac will be heading to PlayStation 4 as a console exclusive. Kobojo explained to Digital Spy that it hopes for all the players of Zodiac to be in a single universe no matter what platform they play it on. This is technically viable and apparently quite easy for Kobojo to do but it depends on Sony allowing this cross-platform multiplayer functionality.

It was also revealed that Zodiac will have improved visual effects on PlayStation consoles when compared to the mobile versions. The PS4 and PS Vita versions will also have their own interface and control schemes, of course.

Kobojo’s current plan is to launch Zodiac during its beta in July on mobiles with a plan to get it out on PlayStation platforms in early 2016.
