Nyu Media has announced that 2D fighting game Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm will finally be out worldwide on July 7th. It will initially be available only on Steam but other digital distributors will sell it later on.

If you backed Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm during its Indiegogo campaign back in August 2013 you should receive a Steam key before the July 7th release date.

Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is a Street Fighter III-inspired fighting game from former King of Fighters developers. The PC version expands upon the NESiCAxLive version released in Japan last year. The additional features include a new side story, a stage called “Shogun,” English and Japanese language support, dynamic mid-match commentaries from the fighters and commentators, Training Mode challenges, and an in-game command list.

Those features are available to everyone who purchases the game but there are also backer-exclusive features that let their character get the last comment in a match whether they win or lose, use special character comments after matches, and customize their new challenger announcements.

Nyu Media also noted that not all physical and other in-game campaign perks that backers of the crowdfunding effort paid for will be delivered before or on July 7th to coincide with the game’s launch. This is due to pulling the game’s release date forward but the timing of these rewards will be announced soon.
