While you may not remember Kunio in it, the bancho sports game came to the West with an American makeover as Super Dodge Ball. Marvelous Online worked with the original creators of the NES game at Million to create Kunio-kun Hot Blooded Dodgeball AllStars!!
The "All Stars" part comes in because there are over 100 Kunio-kun stars players can collect through a lottery style gatcha system. Teams from the Famicom game, Japan-only Super Nintendo Dodge Ball game, and Super Dodge Ball Advance from Atlus. The game also supports online battles over Wi-Fi.
Players can spike and set using a virtual joystick and buttons. Kunio-kun Hot Blooded Dodgeball AllStars!! is available now for iOS as a free download. An Android version is slated for summer.
