The Simpsons Content Pack Is Heading To Minecraft On Xbox

Following its purchase of Mojang, Microsoft is bringing The Simpsons to Minecraft in a new content pack to be released in February for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions of the game.

The content pack includes characters skins for Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, as well as 19 other Springfield residents.

According to Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, the 17 million Minecraft players on Xbox “have been clamoring for [Microsoft] to bring Simpsons characters to the game.”

Whether this content pack will come to other platforms is as of yet unknown. But, it is worth noting that this is not the first time a content pack has been released on the Xbox versions of Minecraft first. The Skyrim Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft took over a year to arrive on PlayStation after it was made available on Xbox.

The Simpsons content pack for Minecraft will cost $1.99 when it is released in late February.
