Midora will go live on Steam Early Access on December 10th, developer Epic Minds announced via their development blog this week.
Since Early Access usually involves early builds of games, and Epic Minds caution players that the game will lack the full range of content that will be in the final game. It will also contain bugs that will be addressed over time, they said. Upon initial release, the Early Access build will contain just one dungeon from the full game.
“Once the Solar Temple is done, it will also take a few months before we add the second dungeon. If it sells well, perhaps updates will come faster than you think,” Epic Minds posted.
Midora is a top-down action-adventure game heavily inspired by the 2D Legend of Zelda titles, with comparisons having been made to The Minish Cap in particular. The game is slated for release in 2015 on PC, and on consoles at some later point in time.
