Forge Reply and BulkyPix have released Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf HD Remastered for Windows and Mac, which is a modern adaptation of the classic gamebook series originally released in the 1980s.
More than just a gamebook, Lone Wolf HD Remastered is an RPG hybrid with full 3D turn-based battles that require tactical thinking to overcome, and three difficulty settings, to go alongside the non-linear storytelling.
It was originally released on iOS and Android in four separate acts, but this PC remaster contains the entire game at one price. So you’ll travel from the frontier village of Rockstarn, then explore the Sunken Forest before unveiling the secrets of the Shianti Temple, and finishing up by taking the fight to the fortress of V’taag.
Also, when compared with the mobile game versions, this HD Remastered version has new lighting effects, high resolution textures, and particles that make it look more vivid and alive.
Lone Wolf let’s you create and customize your own character with different combinations of Kai Disciplines, traits and gear. The story sections where you’ll be making various choices to advance is also told from a medieval tome with hand-drawn illustrations.
You can purchase Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf HD Remastered for $14.99 (launch discounted to $13.49) on Steam. You can find out more about the game on its website.
