Playism has announced that Japanese indie studio Cross Eaglet’s sidescrolling shooter Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR will be hitting its English digital store for PC on September 12th.

Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR was originally released last year on Xbox Live Indie Games (XBLIG) and PC in Japan. It was announced at E3 earlier this year that Playism would be bringing it the west for PS4 and PC. The PS4 version is still, presumably, some ways off from being released.

What’s unique about Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR (apart from its  distinctive blue sheen) is that it allows you to twist and rotate your perspective while taking on loads of enemies, small and large, and dodging clouds of bullets.

This allows you to line up enemies to take them out as a solid lump rather than a scattered cluster. You can also change the formation of bullets by rotating the world around you.

The game also comes with Challenge levels, integrated achievements, and online leaderboards. There’s also a way to watch footage from other players so you can learn from their techniques and improve your scores.

You’ll be able to purchase Revolver 360 RE:ACTOR for $14.99 on the Playism store on September 12th. The original Japanese version – including a demo – is still available on its website.
