Back in 2012, Anuman Interactive announced that work on Syberia 3 was underway, and that the game would be released sometime during 2014 or 2015. This week, the publisher provided an update on the game.
As previously reported, Syberia 3 is being developed by Microids, who also developed the first two Syberia games. The game begins where Syberia 2 left off. Kate Walker has been taken in by the travelling Youkol people, and will learn about their culture by interacting with the tribesmen in a large market-like camp.
Syberia 3 has been in development for a year-and-a-half and will be in full 3D. The game is scheduled for release in 2015, and is being produced for PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iPhone and Android. Microids have shared the first screenshots for the game as well.
“It is filled with emotion that we share with the saga fans those very first screenshots of Syberia 3, more than ten years after Syberia 2 was released,” said Elliot Grassiano, VP at Microids.
“We have been working for more than a year and a half on this ambitious title so that it meets the expectations of the passionate gamers of this adventure game. Seeing this unique universe imagined by Benoit Sokal take shape for the first time in full real-time 3D strongly increases the team’s motivation.”
