If Pokemon, Super Smash Bros. and pixelart combined forces, the result might be Rivals of Aether.
The PC multiplayer brawler game has players selecting elemental characters such as Orcane and Zetterburn, before going at it in arena matches of up to four players.
Fights play out similar to Super Smash Bros., with a player trying to deal enough damage and then ring out opponents. Each elemental has their own special abilities which can also partially affect the stage, such as Zetterburn’s fire pits and Orcane’s puddles.
Rivals of Aether is set for a 2015 release. Its final platform is to be announced.
