In the game you play as Reika who travels through time and tries to stop Luda from altering history. Time Gal covers the age of the dinosaurs all the way up to a dismal future where bugs-like creatures rule the Earth.

Similar to Dragon’s Lair, Time Gal has many failure sequences and someone took the time to record most (all?) of them. Watch it to see Toei’s take on the FMV genre.
Time Gal was mostly forgotten, but she reappeared on the Wii. The game didn’t get a re-release, but Reika is a playable character in Castle Shikigami III.
