Beta Test Phase 2 for the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now live, Square Enix have announced. The beta will run until 1 am PST on Monday, April 7th. Here’s what you need to know:
Phase 2 of the Beta uses the live game servers, so players can join other PC and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system players and use existing characters in the Beta. New characters and player progress created during this phase can be transferred at the start of the official service that begins with the release on Monday, April 14th. In addition, anybody that pre-orders the game (either the Standard or the limited Collector’s Edition) can join Early Access that begins on Friday, April 11th.
Everyone that owns a PlayStation 4 is eligible to participate in the beta for free. Once you download Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PlayStation 4 Beta Version), installation will begin and you’ll be able to start playing. More information on the PS4 beta can be found here.
