During a recent live concert by Kenji Ito, known for composing tracks for the Mana and SaGa games, SaGa creator Akitoshi Kawazu made a guest appearance and shared a few words (thanks, Game Jouhou) in regard to the latest developments of the RPG series, which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary later this year.
“I hope to be able to make an announcement of a new title within the next two years,” Kawazu revealed.
“Development itself is quietly in progress at the moment, but we’re not at the stage where we can make announcements at the moment,” he added.
During the event, Kawazu also brought up collaborations and past titles, according to the report, indicating that Square are working on several plans to coincide with the series’ 25th anniversary, which takes place on December 2014.
In an earlier interview, Kawazu shared how impressed he was by Monster Hunter 4 and the Nintendo 3DS, so we could possibly see a new game from the creator for the handheld device.
