Earlier this summer, we got a look at a new PC brawler, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, which was developed by Japanese indie developer Zenith Blue, and showcased at Comiket 84. The game is now available in English through the indie game funding, localization and publishing service, Playism.
Above is a look at some samurai school girl, robot-slaying action in Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae’s latest trailer. In the game, you’ll be playing as a girl named Misa who uses her holy sword to go after a former comrade named Suzuka, who happens to have a demonic blade, which she used to kill their teacher.
Most of the action consists of slice and dicing your way through waves of enemy robots in combat. The game has an interesting system, where your sword gauge decreases as you use it, but you can regain it by using melee attacks, which makes you think twice about how you’ll be tearing apart your enemies.
There’s even a special samurai-style special attack, where you kill all weakened enemies in a flash. The game also has a progressive technique system, that grants you skill points use to upgrade stats and learn new techniques.
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is now available for PC on Playism for $14.99.
