Super Smash Bros. Games For Wii U And 3DS Will Not Feature Tripping

The two new Super Smash Bros. games for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will not feature the tripping mechanic that was present in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

 

Speaking with Kotaku, Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai confirmed: “To answer quite frankly, it will not return.”

 

Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and Wii U are slated for release in 2014.
