The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile Director’s Cut Coming To PC

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, an side-scrolling action game released for Xbox Live Arcade in 2011, is headed to PC. Ska Studios have announced that the PC version of their game will be released in Director’s Cut form.

This announcement follows the news that a Russian hacker going by the name “Barabus” has reverse-engineered the game and put an illegal copy of it on PC.

Ska Studios lead designer James Silva writes on the Ska Studios blog:

Porting Vampire Smile to PC as an enhanced Director’s Cut has been something I’ve been wanting to do since launch (I was calling it Georgelucasing until Michelle made me stop), and we had actually broached the subject with Microsoft last Friday, almost a week before this happened. Nothing’s set in stone, but we got the go ahead to make a pre-announcement: we’ll be working with Microsoft to bring our stuff to PC.

In response to the unsanctioned PC port, Silva said, “Of course, we can’t condone it, but we definitely recognize that the only thing we can really do about it is the original plan: port to PC.”
