DuckTales Remastered By WayForward Coming To HD Consoles

DuckTales Remastered is an HD remake of the 1989 DuckTales for the NES. The game will feature level layouts based on the original, with completely redone visuals and sound. The backgrounds for DuckTales Remastered have been laid out by original artists from the cartoon series.

Also included is a new tutorial level that lets you get familiar with the pogo jump and cane swing in the game, and a McDuck’s Museum mode lets you track your stats and compare your progress on global leaderboards. Meanwhile, a “Scrooge’s Money Bin” mode will let players swim around in coins.

DuckTales Remastered is being developed by WayFoward Technologies. The game will feature original Disney character voice talent, including some from the cartoon TV series, such as the voice of Scrooge McDuck, and its soundtrack is being composed by Jake Kaufman, AKA virt, who is both remixing old tunes and creating new original tracks.

Ducktales Remastered is slated for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U this Summer as a downloadable game.
