Nintendo are bringing two Zelda games to Wii U—one remake and one original title.

The first to be released will be the remake, which is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, which is going to see a huge visual upgrade on Wii U and is slated for release this fall.

Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, says that part of the reason The Wind Waker was chosen is because the platform it was originally on, the Gamecube, wasn’t a very widespread system and so, several gamers may not have gotten to try the game.
