The Rumble Fish Series Acquired By Street Fighter IV Developer Dimps

Years before Dimps created Street Fighter IV, but after they started making Dragon Ball Z fighting games, they made a 2D fighting game series with Sammy as the publisher. The Rumble Fish made its debut it arcades back in 2004 and Sega released a PS2 version a year later. Dimps developed The Rumble Fish 2, but the series faded away not long after Sega and Sammy merged.

Dimps now owns the rights to The Rumble Fish, The Rumble Fish 2, and the entire intellectual property. A new portal site for The Rumble Fish series is live and Dimps says they are planning to development for the series. No specific titles have been announced, but Dimps could port the two arcade games as a start.
