New Super Mario Bros. 2’s White Tanooki Suit In Action

This week, Famitsu magazine revealed that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will bring back the White Tanooki suit from Super Mario 3D Land. The White Tanooki suit shows up if you die five times in a row and grants invincibility. This morning, Nintendo released a trailer showing the suit in action:

New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released on August 19th in Japan, and will kick off Nintendo’s new download service on the Nintendo eShop, which will allow you to purchase download versions of retail games. You can find more details here.
