Heroes of Ruin’s release isn’t far off. Square Enix have the game scheduled for June 26th in North America, and shared today via their Heroes of Ruin podcast that the game is entering its submission phase, where it will be sent to Nintendo for approval and any changes required by to fit their guidelines will need to be addressed.
Additionally, Square also mentioned a few more details regarding weapons and armour in the game. As previously reported, Heroes of Ruin has over 80,000 weapons. Some of this loot is of a higher class, one of these classes being “Legendary”. Legendary loot is dropped by bosses and is visually unique. It boosts a greater number of stats than other kinds of loot.
You can also find complete item sets in the game, similar to other action RPGs such as Diablo or Monster Hunter. Collecting entire item sets will be tough, the developers say, and will require multiple playthroughs of the game. You can also play multiplayer to increase your chances for finding item sets.
