Discover A JRPG Set During The Age of Discovery

Earlier this year, we reported on 8-Bit Funding, a crowd-funding initiative set up to make gathering funds easier for aspiring indie game creators. Contributors can contribute money toward a project, and developers keep them updated on its progress and offer certain perks. You can read more about it here.

One of the projects being developed under the 8-Bit Funding program is a JRPG set in American history, from the Age of Discovery until 1783. Titled Americana Dawn: The Long Goodbye, it’s loosely inspired by the Axis Powers Hetalia manga series. Here’s a trailer:

 

 

The developers have a demo planned for release later this year, with the full game slated to release in May 2012. Here’s the game’s page if you want to see more.
