Japanese developer Yuke’s just opened up an office a few days ago in North America. Even though most gamers might not recognize the name Yuke’s, they are the ones behind all of the WWE (Exciting Pro Wrestling) games since the Playstation era and Konami’s Rumble Roses. Now stepping out of the shadows as a North American developer Yuke’s is jumping into the publishing business with plans to release games for the PS2, PSP and PS3. Their first game is coming in July and it is D1 Grand Prix, a racing game that focuses on drifting. The game includes an extensive physics engine and different environments to drift in. Yuke’s also developed The Dog Happy Life for the PSP, which seems likely to come over now that Yuke’s has a subsidiary office in the USA.
