Puddle To Splash To Xbox Live And PlayStation Network This Summer

Puddle is an indie game that won the Independent Game Festival’s Student Showcase division in 2010. It began as a project from six students at ENJMIN, a school in France. Konami took an interest in the game, and have announced that they’ll be publishing it for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this summer.

Puddle is a physics-based puzzle/platform game. You have guide a puddle of fluid to its destination by tilting the game environment. Fluid motion is realistic in Puddle, though, so if you tilt too quickly, droplets will get left behind. If you tilt too slowly, however, you may not ramp up enough speed to make jumps or your fluid will simply evaporate.

As far as environments go, you’ll see pipes, plants, laboratories, sewers, rockets, power stations and…the human body. Obstacles like fires, electrical sparks, and rift will block your path, and you’ll need to get past them. Friction, momentum, the properties of each type of fluid will all come into play while you attempt to do this.
